After close to 10 years working in Washington, D.C., Julie shifted her focus toward plants and creating outdoor spaces inspired by the natural world she loves. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and an associate’s degree in horticulture, with a strong focus on native plants and ecological landscape design.
Living near the Appalachian Trail and Shenandoah National Park, she spends much of her time exploring native plants in their natural settings while also growing and developing native landscapes on her own property. Her work is rooted in a love for nature, outdoor living, and creating landscapes that feel immersive and restorative.
